All the Comforts of Home

The igloo glowed from within, the spectacular sights of the Aurora Borealis streaking the sky with gold, scarlet, and purple. The snow surrounding the igloo was a pure blue-white, its diamonds sparkling like a scattered necklace. A wolf howled off in the distance, running with his packmates. Dief would return home by morning.

The yellow glow flickered off and on, illuminating the dogsled that was parked outside the entrance. The red door was half-open, the sounds of cheering crowds coming from inside.

*"The Bulls have scored..."

There was excited laughter, then the words, "Let me check your balls, Benny," drifted out over the cold night air. The wolf howled again.
